I too did the same thing. I went and used our terrific machine! So quick
and easy and all independently.

Even with the somewhat accessible voting in Orange County, I went ahead,
turned my unopened mail-in ballot in and voted with the Express Vote
machine. Just felt better about it. An interesting thing, which I am not
sure how I feel. Because my signature never looks the same twice, they had
me sign with an X and put that on my official card. It's pretty easy to
make an X. That way, guess my signature won't get contested so much! Happy
voting everyone and thanks Camille for keeping us informed.

Happy Saturday Federationists:

We have talked before about signature issues and ensuring your ballot counts
when you vote. Make sure your ballot is counted this election year! If you
mailed in your ballot, either by putting it in a drop box, taking it to your
local Supervisor of Election office or dropping it in the mail, make sure it
counts.

Contact your local Supervisor of Election office and track your ballot. Some
counties may also have this process available online. Please reach out to
your local SOE to track your ballot.

As we are all aware, our signatures change over time. No one signs exactly
the same each time they place their signature. Each election cycle, your
ballot is reviewed to ensure the signature matches. The rule of thumb is
anything less than a 20% variation in a signature is considered to be valid,
but over that amount, the ballot is placed into a pile that "requires" the
SOE office to verify the signature by contacting the voter. There is no
telling if this procedure is followed by any of the Elections offices, so
don't hesitate!

If you have not mailed your ballot in yet, please do not; drop it in a drop
box provided by each county. It is too late to ensure your ballot will reach
the SOE in time for the Tuesday election.

Together,

Camille

Sincerely,
