The award was announced last night during our first Virtual Blind Americans Equality Day Celebration. Sherri was honored because of her leadership in our local Chapter for over 30 years now, and her advocacy and support of Blind Americans Equality Day and the Florida White Cane Law. Sherri has attended almost every White Cane Day program in Central Florida since I can remember. She often represents our Chapter during the NFB Washington Seminar, as she meets with our Congressional Delegation, on behalf of the Federations Legislative priorities. Sherri is a strong advocate of the Federation and has spent her adult life working as a volunteer in the NFB helping blind people to live the life that they want to live. Sherri is employed part time as a Medical Transcriptionist. Congratulations Sherri on your award.
