[NFBF-L] Sun Rise and Shine with NFB Newsline - What's on tap is what's on the ballot. Thursday, October 22nd

Happy Taco Tuesday everyone!

It's time for another installment of Sunrise and Shine with NFB Newsline, our weekly homegrown gathering with Affiliate members and many regular attendees and special guests. Hopefully by now you've made it to some of our calls and discovered how much fun we all have on Thursday mornings talking about NFB Newsline and sharing and laughing with each other about our life's experiences, past, present and future. 

As 2020 is an extremely important election year, Sun Rise and Shine has previously discussed various topics, including Florida's "vote by mail" system. Now that the sample ballots are available for review and the polls are open for early voting, I thought it would be appropriate for our NFB Newsline call to address the six Constitutional amendments awaiting a decision by voters. Camille Tate will help us all understand what the six proposed amendments are. Your input is welcome, so even if you have already cast your vote, we'd be thrilled to have you join us. If you are not a registered voter in Florida that's okay too, our adopted Floridians always seem to have a great time hanging out with those of us with a perpetual tan.

Summaries of the six amendments are being uploaded to NFB Newslines Florida Information Channel for your  review. Look for the section titled, "2020 Florida Election Information, (including Florida Constitutional Amendments".

We will use the Zoom platform for the call, but if you haven't spent much time on Zoom, don't let that keep you away). There are several different ways to call in, including the familiar conference call method of using your landline or mobile phone to dial a phone number and  access code. I hope that with Sunrise and Shines out of the ordinary time slot , we will get to hear from some of the family and friends we have been missing.
