[NFBF-L] What blind people wish you knew

Good evening all,
A couple of things came to mind on this topic. I wish the following: that sighted people knew that blind people are employed in every profession that does not require driving , parents need to do their research when they discover they have a blind child because a lack of research on what blind people are capable of doing is what sets a child up to fail,  I have a productive in fulfilling life prior to receiving my guide dog and will be able to if she has to retire.
