Marilyn, thank you for letting us know about Joe Naulty being in the hospital with health challenges. Goodness knows I first met Joe at my very first national convention in Denver CA so many years ago. Joe and Arlene are incredible people – both so strong and determined to make a positive difference in the lives of blind  people. No one has ever been more diligent  than Joe when it comes to the double challenge of blindness and hearing loss. He has been such an example to so many of us and Arlene is one phenomenal lady! 

 

I shall keep them both lifted up in prayer. I love both the Naulty’ s so very much!

Members please pray for Mr. Joe Naulty who is having health challenges and is in the hospital. Joe is one of our Elder Statesmen of the Florida Afiliate, who founded our National and State Deaf Blind Division. Please keep Mr. Joe and his wife Arlene in your prayers. 

 

Also thank you for your thoughts and prayers on behalf of Dr. Joyce Taylor who suffered a Mild Stroke last Wednesday evening. Thank God that emergency care was quickly provided and she is doing well, working hard in the Rehabilitation Center to regain her balance after the stroke. I talked with her earlier this week, and she sounds good.

Good afternoon, MSCC Board ~

 

Upon calling Joe for a catch up chat an hour ago, I spoke with Arlene and she informed me that Joe is in Holmes Regional Hospital due to cellulitis in his leg that has gone awry.  Joe has been in the ER area since late yesterday afternoon (the hospital currently has a shortage of rooms).  The ER staff has been administering heavy doses of antibiotics to get the infection under control prior to scheduling emergency surgery on his leg.

 

Arlene has requested no phone calls, please, as she is in constant contact with family, doctors, and hospital staff and in much needed rest for herself.  Feel free to text or email Arlene at any time.

 

Let's keep Joe and Arlene in our thoughts and prayers during this challenging and difficult time.
