Good morning, fans of our wonderful twice monthly Zoom call!

Sometimes the calendar plays tricks on us and it seems as though we go way too long without having Sunrise and Shine with NFB Newsline to make us smile on a Thursday morning. With our schedule of meeting twice monthly, that being the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month, we hadn’t held a call since way back on March 24th. We can fix that problem this week however by holding our wonderful call on its regular day. What can make this call even more special is having you with us while we celebrate Rise and Shines second anniversary! I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again, it’s hard to believe that our get-togethers began all the way back on April 16th, 2020. We’ve covered so many topics, this past year alone, so it seems only right that we have a bit of a review session before jumping into our main event for this week.

The main event for our upcoming call, as you were probably able to figure out from the subject line of this email, is Trivia! I’ll be putting together a great collection of questions to wake you up on Thursday morning, but you still might want to grab a hot cup of coffee or tea to give you a little extra boost. I might even scour our list of loyal and regular attendees for an assistant trivia master.

If the subject line of this email, hinting at prize money got your attention, then it did its job. Yes, there will be prize money for some lucky party goers this week. I’ll be giving away cash prizes to three lucky attendees, (and yes, you must be present to win). Why would I do such a crazy thing? It’s my way of telling you all just how fortunate I feel, having had the honor of hosting SRS over these past two years and how glad I am that so many of you show up week after week. You are the ones who have made this call so much fun and so successful and so I want to send each and every one of you a sincere thank you!

If you haven’t been to one of our calls before, joining us at 9:00 AM for coffee or tea will give you a chance to find out what you’ve been missing. We always take time for welcoming new guest speakers and participants and for lots of warmth and laughter.

Most of us have become pretty familiar with attending meetings using the Zoom platform over the past couple of years and in fact, we’ve been using Zoom since we launched Rise and Shine way back on April 16th 2020. If you’re not used to using Zoom or if it’s still giving you difficulties, don’t give up just yet. The regulars on our call are always warm and welcoming and are thrilled to see new faces.
