Good morning everyone,

So sorry for the late notice about our upcoming meeting, but I hope that the meeting date and time were already in your schedule and that you’ll be able to join us tomorrow for a very interesting Zoom call.

Our second Sunrise and Shine  call of the month will take place tomorrow, Thursday April 28th at 9:00 AM. A winning formula for “Rise and Shine over the life of our meetings has been to review a feature of NFB-NEWSLINE and then follow with a random topic discussion from all of those in attendance. Thanks to a conversation I had yesterday with Sheri Brun, we thought it would be fun to tie a NFB-NEWSLINE feature together with the round table chat. With that in mind, we’ll cover the extremely powerful “job listings” feature of NFB-NEWSLINE and then go around the room to find out what jobs folks have done in their lives and what they learned from those experiences. The “job listings” section of NFB-NEWSLINE is often overlooked but has so much to offer and the employment experiences of blind people are often under rated and misunderstood, let’s take care of both of those misconceptions tomorrow morning. I can’t wait to hear the interesting stories that I’m sure will surface during our conversation. I bet there are some pretty fun tales mixed in there too.

If you haven’t been to one of our calls before, joining us at 9:00 AM for coffee or tea will give you a chance to find out what you’ve been missing. We always take time for welcoming new guest speakers and participants and for lots of warmth and laughter.

Most of us have become pretty familiar with attending meetings using the Zoom platform over the past couple of years and in fact, we’ve been using Zoom since we launched Rise and Shine way back on April 16th 2020.
