Thank you for letting us know Pat. He has been a very good director and
very responsive to our concerns.

Subject: [NFBF-L] Jim Woolyhand, retiring

Hi all.

I thought I would let you know that Jim Woolyhand, the current Bureau Chief
of the Braille and Talking Book Library in Daytona Beach will be retiring
the end of February.

Jim has been a friend and colleague to many of us throughout the years, as
well as an important advocate for the rights and needs of many blind and
print impaired residents throughout our state. I first met Jim when he
became my DBS Counselor years ago. Throughout the years, HE WORKED in
various positions, first as a Counselor, as a Supervisor, District
Administrator of the District office in Daytona Beach, and then Bureau
Chief of the Braille and Talking Book Library, where he was called upon to
resolve the issues at the Library, while still overseeing the District
office of DBS. He did both well, and eventually was named as the Library's
Bureau Chief.

It is impossible to say how many lives Jim has impacted throughout the
years, but he will definitely be missed by many who were fortunate enough
to get to know him well benefiting from his friendship, wisdom and
experience.
