James Edward Young Obituary

We are sad to announce that on January 16, 2022 we had to say goodbye to James Edward Young (Tallahassee, Florida), born in Brooks, Georgia. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Clyde Leroy Jackson and Laura Bell Jones Young; his grandmother Lola Mae Jones; his siblings, Sandra Lewis, Alphonso Lewis, Mamie Young of Thomasville, GA, Debbie Ivy of Atlanta, GA and Albert Lewis (Katrina) of Ochlocknee, GA; his grandchildren, Kennedie Thomas and Eric Herring; his aunt Ollie Mae Fogle; his cousin Mae Ivy; his wife Sylvia Evette Drummer of Tallahassee, FL; his children, Fredderick Jones (Latonya) of Douglasville, GA, Major Samuel Phillips (Kisha), Scott Phillips (Michelle) of Tallahassee, FL, Stephen Phillips (Chelsea) of Fort Wayne, IN, Phillip Mickens of Thomasville, GA., Nanette Brown (Kindall) of Thomasville, GA, Tameka Young of Atlanta, GA, Kakeria Thomas (Dwayne), Kelly Searcey (Jeremey) of Thomasville, GA, Samantha Phillips of Warren Robins, GA and Rosalind Hayward of Thomasville, GA; and his siblings-in-law, Saundra Drummer of Pensacola, FL, Charlene Holland Reynolds, Gwendolyn Holland of Thomasville, GA and Rodney Drummer (Misao) of Honolulu, HI.. He was also cherished by aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 29th 2022 at 10:00 AM at the Every National Tallahassee Church (2555 N Monroe St, Tallahassee, FL 32303).

In leu of flowers send donations to National Federation of the Blind Tallahassee, c/o Donald Christie, President, 4578 Rice Dr, Tallahassee, FL 32305.
