Subject: [NFBF-L] Sunrise and Shine with NFB-NEWSLINE has Breaking News!Come check out this awesome feature tomorrow, Thursday, June 9th at 9:00 AM

Good morning fans of Sunrise and Shine!

In pondering which NFB-NEWSLINE feature to review in our first of two meetings in June, I decided to cover one that was mentioned to me numerous times over the past week while I was demonstrating NFB-NEWSLINE at the Florida Council of the Blind annual Convention near Orlando. While working in the exhibit hall and even while conducting a workshop, people kept saying to me, “I love the breaking news feature of NFB_NEWSLINE”. I agreed that it is a favorite component for many readers and for me too. We’ll dive deep into the breaking news section, demonstrate how to get to it and find out what’s inside.

Beyond the breaking news review, I will toss out an idea I have for our second call in June, Mark your calendars for June 23rd please), and will want your feedback. We’ll also go around the room and as always, allow everyone to give input. What will the round-table topic be for tomorrow? Well, I won’t give it away completely, but let’s just say prepare to let us all know just how adventurous you are. It will be lots of fun I know.

If you haven’t been to one of our calls before, joining us at 9:00 AM for coffee or tea will give you a chance to find out what you’ve been missing. We always take time for welcoming new guest speakers and participants and for lots of warmth and laughter.

Most of us have become pretty familiar with attending meetings using the Zoom platform over the past couple of years and in fact, we’ve been using Zoom since we launched Rise and Shine way back on April 16th 2020. If you’re not used to using Zoom or if it’s still giving you difficulties, don’t give up just yet. You can access the meeting by clicking on he below listed web link, by using the one tap mobile feature or by dialing the phone number provided and entering the access code when prompted.

The regulars on our call are always warm and welcoming and are thrilled to see new faces.

Hope to have you with us Thursday morning, see below for the Zoom info.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me before the call. Check the bottom of this email for the Zoom call-in instructions.
