May Observances

Healthy Vision Month: May was declared Healthy Vision month in part to bring
awareness to the importance of taking proper care of our vision. A large
percentage of blindness is preventable.

Global Accessibility Awareness Day - May 19: Technology is all around us.
Almost everything is going, or has already gone digital. In order to ensure
that everyone is included and represented in digital spaces, Global
Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD) was established. The observance was
designed to bring more attention to the necessity of inclusion and
accessibility on the World Wide Web, social platforms and in new technology.
