Good Morning ‘Rise and Shine Friends and Family,

 

When we held our last amazing call in late September, there was some discussion as to whether we’d hold an SRS Zoom call in its normally scheduled spot this Thursday, October 13th or give ourselves a post-convention break. Well, after giving the options some thought I think it makes complete sense to gather, sip on a warm  cup of coffee or tea, put our feet up and chat about our time in Jacksonville during the National Federation of the Blind of Florida’s 52nd annual State Convention. There’ll be so many stories to share about things we did, laughs we had, friends we made and things we learned. The NFB Florida Board certainly will take away learning opportunities from this past weekend, so why not use one of our most enjoyable discussion platforms to kick off an open and fun post-Convention discussion.

 

You might be asking, who is welcome to join in on Sunrise and Shine? The answer is simple, anyone and everyone. This week though, we are certainly encouraging anyone who attended the NFB of Florida’s 2022 Convention to join us. Your feedback is needed.

 

 

If you haven’t been to one of our calls before, joining us at 9:00 AM for coffee or tea will give you a chance to find out what you’ve been missing. We always take time for welcoming new guest speakers and participants and for lots of warmth and laughter.

 

Most of us have become pretty familiar with attending meetings using the Zoom platform over the past couple of yearsand in fact, we’ve been using Zoom since we launched Rise and Shineway back on April 16th2020. If you’re not used to using Zoom or if it’s still giving you difficulties, don’t give up just yet.
