Hey Russ,

I’m trading shifts with one of my NLS colleagues tomorrow, so I will actually be free to come.

To read more about the amazing Mr. Brooks, check out my article about him in, I believe, the January 2022 issue of AccessWorld.

Go to

www.afb.org/aw <http://www.afb.org/aw>

and enter his name in the search field.

I’ll send it later myself, if time permits, but today is travel back to Ohio day for me, so kind of crazy!

Peace,

Deborah

Subject: [NFBF-L] Tomorrows Sunrise and Shine has its sights set on transportation and our special guest Ron Brooks from UZURV - Let's have a huge turnout Thursday June 8th at 9:00 AM

Good Morning Sunrise and Shine Faithful!

I am truly grateful to all who have attended Sunrise and Shine with NFB-NEWSLINE® calls and who have contributed in the conversations we have had on the countless topics covered since our humble beginnings. Sunrise and Shine has become a success because of each and every one of you.

Our tradition of having fantastic guest speakers continues tomorrow morning, as we welcome Ron Brooks from UZURV, the adaptive transportation network company. Ron will not only provide us with the latest information from UZURV but will also help lead our conversation on all things transportation. Many of you will remember Ron from his appearance on SRS last summer but also from his highly successful online broadcast, “Untangling Transportation”.

I don’t often ask for favors from our Sunrise and Shine family, but I will now. Please clear your calendars and find time for us tomorrow morning, June 8th, beginning at 9:00 AM. We want to pack the house with call attendees. Spread the word among your friends, family and community members and ask them to join you on this week’s Zoom gathering. You won’t be disappointed. If you have used the UZURV service before, you’ll have a chance to tell Ron about your experiences and if you don’t have the game changing service in your community, you’ll be able to learn how much it would mean to have them available to you.

If you haven’t been to one of our calls before, joining us at 9:00 AM for coffee tea or leftover birthday cake will give you a chance to find out what you’ve been missing. We always take time for welcoming new guest speakers and participants and for lots of warmth and laughter.

Most of us have become pretty familiar with attending meetings using the Zoom platform over the past couple of years and in fact, we’ve been using Zoom since we launched Rise and Shine way back on April 16th 2020. If you’re not used to using Zoom or if it’s still giving you difficulties, don’t give up just yet. You can access the meeting by clicking on he below listed web link, by using the one tap mobile feature or by dialing the phone number provided and entering the access code when prompted.

The regulars on our call are always warm and welcoming and are thrilled to see new faces.

Hope to have you with us Thursday morning, see below for the Zoom info.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me before the call. Check the bottom of this email for the Zoom call-in instructions.
