I use an app on my iPhone called Talking Tuner. It tells you how sharp or flat the note is, so you can use it for any tuning.

The easiest way may be to search on the BARD web site with your PC, add to wish list, then download to your phone. 
On the site, look for Music, which has its own searching, Recently Added, and Most Popular, etc. I would suggest beginning with a search for Bill Brown. He does instructional sessions for various instruments, styles, and individual pieces that are created specifically for blind listeners. He has several intro to guitar selections, for example.  
Aside from BARD: For tuning, there is a free app called Guitar Tuner, and also a skill on the Amazon Echo (Alexa0 that will help you tune your guitar. Just say something like "Alexa, help me tune my guitar," and you will be offered a series of notes for matching each string's sound.  
Music can be so much fun!

NLS Music Section has all sorts of learning material for the guitar that you can download and play on your phone, assuming you have the BARD app on your phone. I'll leave it here, but if you need help carrying out the steps to learn what's there and how to get it, I and others can help you.

Were you able to identify an app that will work with Voiceover to teach guitar? Would you please post that to the entire list in case anyone else is interested in the results? I've got a set of instructional materials but they were party of a guitar by ear teaching course that I don't believe is available in any other format than by compact disk.
