Subject: [NFBF-L] Sad News From Gainesville

Dear Federation Family:

I am so sad to tell you all that David Roskos, husband of Kathy Roskos, passed away from a sudden heart attack Wednesday. David was our chapter treasurer and a good friend to all of us. He touched so many lives in our community and the people he interacted with in the sighted community.

I spoke with Kathy yesterday and the funeral service will be Thursday, January 25th at 10:00 am at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Gainesville, Florida; with a reception after the service. Burial will be at Forrest Meadows Cemetery in Gainesville, Florida. The Obituary is scheduled to be printed in the Gainesville Sun tomorrow (Tuesday). When I am using my computer to get the website for the paper, I usually use gainesville.com <http://gainesville.com> or http://gainesvillesun.com I will do my best to copy and paste it in a future Email, and update when able.

Since the Gainesville Sun and Ocala Star Banner merged several years ago, the notice might appear in the Banner too, but I am not sure. The Ocala Star Banner is on NFB NEWSLINE. Sometimes there are Gainesville residents listed.

Please keep Kathy and family in your thoughts and prayers.

Kind Regards to All,

Judy Hamilton

Gainesville Chapter
