Dear Florida Association of Blind Students supporters and members,
The Florida Students are back with our monthly social!
This theme will be Thanksgiving and we will be showing the movie Father of
The Bride audio described. Grab your popcorn, that special someone or dog,
and join us this Saturday (November 16th) at 8pm!
Here’s a summary of the movie:
Father of the Bride (1991) is a comedy-drama film directed by Charles
Shyer, starring Steve Martin, Diane Keaton, and Kimberly Williams. The
story follows George Banks (Steve Martin), a loving but overprotective
father who finds it difficult to let go when his daughter, Annie (Kimberly
Williams), announces her engagement. As George struggles to accept her
growing independence, he becomes hilariously entangled in the wedding
planning process.
The film showcases George's escalating anxiety as costs rise, and he
navigates interactions with eccentric wedding planner Franck Eggelhoffer
(Martin Short). Ultimately, Father of the Bride is a heartfelt and humorous
story about a father's journey to accept change, filled with memorable
moments that explore love, family, and the bittersweet nature of seeing
one's children grow up.
We hope to see all of you there at the link below!

"The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the
characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the
expectations
of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles between blind
people and our dreams. You can have the life you want; blindness is not
what holds
you back."
