number remains the same, but a passcode has been added to make entering the
room easier for both you and the hosts. The url link already contains the
passcode, but if you are dialing in by phone or entering the PMI number
directly, yu'll need to reference the passcode in this email***

Good morning, Sunrise and Shine Family!

For so many reasons, tomorrow's call will be one you don't want to miss.
Over the past five years we've taken a look at emergency preparedness and
storm preparation a few times, (but it's been a good while). We even had
some SRS calls while hurricanes were staring us down. Now we're in mid
August and, guess what? There's another tropical storm out in the Atlantic
rolling westward towards someone, (it could be us). The terrific thing about
getting ready for a potential emergency is that having all your ducks in a
row applies to not only named storm possibilities, (like tropical storm
Erin), but to almost any emergency you can think of, (even ones far into the
future) and far away from the coast.

A good friend of mine, Ian McCaul, will be joining us from Tallahassee with
some very relevant information about disaster and emergency preparedness.
Ian has dug deep into this complex topic but knows how to strip it down and
make the process of getting prepared easy to tackle, (for all of us, blind
or not). The Atlantic and Gulf Coasts of the US have some unique weather
experiences, but the information we'll make available can help anyone,
anywhere.

We'll provide some awesome resources for you to keep handy, (I'll even
include a few web links sent to me by Ian, in this 'Rise and Shine
announcement).

Before you ask, yes, I'll be giving the latest information available
tomorrow morning on the status of TS Erin. What are forecasters saying about
her possible future impact with the US? Will she become a hurricane? We'll
know more when we gather at 9:00 AM EST on Thursday, August 14th.

A life-long friend of mine, Carl Berkey-Abbott, will also be joining us from
his home near Ashville, North Carolina. Carl has had some interesting
experiences with storms. He's ridden through many in the Carolinas and south
Florida, (including most recently, the devastating Hurricane Helene) I'll
ask Carl how hedealt with Helene and how recovery for all of those effected
is going..

As we like to do with our regular calls, I'll be asking everyone to pitch in
and ask questions and to provide stories, so don't be shy. Your thoughtful
input is an enormous reason why Sunrise and Shine with NFB-NEWSLINER has
been so successful for so long. You can also help by spreading the word
about the call and asking friends and family to join us. Feel free to
forward this announcement on to others.

If you haven't been to one of our calls before, joining us at 9:00 AM for
coffee or tea will give you a chance to find out what you've been missing.
We always take time for welcoming new guest speakers and participants and
for lots of warmth and laughter.

Most of us have become pretty familiar with attending meetings using the
Zoom platform over the past few years and in fact, we've been using Zoom
since we launched Rise and Shine way back on April 16th2020. If you're not
used to using Zoom or if it's still giving you difficulties, don't give up
just yet. You can access the meeting by clicking on he below listed web
link, by using the one tap mobile feature or by dialing the phone number
provided and entering the access code when prompted.

The regulars on our call are always warm and welcoming and are thrilled to
see new faces.

Hope to have you with us this Thursday morning, see below for the Zoom info.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me before the
call. Check the bottom of this email for the Zoom call-in instructions.
