Hi Holly,

The Gainesville Chapter did a fundraiser a few years back with Krispy Kreme where they offered non-profit organizations certificates for one dozen glazed doughnuts. We paid Krispy Kreme $3 per certificate and sold the certificates for $6 each. If the buyer wanted a variety of doughnuts in their dozen, they presented the certificate along with $1 to the cashier and Krispy Kreme kept the dollar. I was told that the certificates did not expire. We did fairly well, although I still have 11 leftover and I think there are still a few more unsold. At the time we had a national scholarship winner, Mona Minkara, in our chapter and she took a bunch of them over to UF campus and she and her graduate student friends sold them before she moved on to bigger and better things in Minnesota. I sure hope they have not transitioned to gift cards. We only have one Krispy Kreme in Gainesville and doughnuts are not the healthiest snack :-).
Krispy Kreme has a busy business. Just sharing the experience.

Best Regards,
