Start the presentation with one or two of these, not anything that will start discourse, but open the conversation to illustrate to folks, including sighted and those who are new to vision loss how misinformed they are and how the tapes cleverly put into our brains about vision loss, total or partial, at an early age affect our beliefs later. Don't know if any of you have experienced this lately as I have, but there is a lot more misinformation in the public that I thought in 2016 we had put to rest. In a lot of ways it is baffling to be conversing with someone respected and they state something implying a low expectation of blindness. WOW!</P>
