To this point, they have done several webinars on diabetes and have been offering to prodigy meters one that is more accessible than the other, both have audio are talking features audio or talking features. Additionally, there are the continuous glucose monitors as well and for what I have heard about them so far their accessibility would be through the Smart phone do you use in conjunction with them. There is at least one for the rep for Accessible pharmacy, but their role is more in providing information about that organization and for specific medical questions I would recommend contacting Accessible pharmacy if he wish to reach out to them for medical advice. If you like me to I’ll be more than happy to pass on your name to the Accessible pharmacy rep in Florida.

Be safe and well

Regards, Paul

Sent from my iPhone

On Mar 1, 2022, at 7:56 PM, Camille Tate via NFBF-L <nfbf-l@nfbnet.org> wrote:

<!--

If you have a Medicare Advantage Plan, you may be restricted on where you can obtain diabetes testing supplies that your insurance will cover. The company my insurance changed to now charges a co-pay of $30 per month for test strips (testing up to four times per day). Every two years, I am entitled to a new blood glucose monitor under the Medicare rules, but there is now a $25 co-pay for the monitor, when it used to be free. My insurance company now uses Edgepark for their diabetes testing supplies and monitors.

If you want to go outside of insurance, Amazon actually sells the Prodigy kit, a lancet and test strips for about $20-25.
