I said that this was a program that I could help with, and it was on my plate to accomplish today. I was instrumental in getting state funding for the TD Trust fund before we had the Coordinated TD funding that is now available for all sixty -seven counties in our state. I served on the Fl. Commission from 1994-2002. I still serve on our local TDBoard in Central Florida. <div><br></div><div>These funds are for non Medicaid and ADA sponsored trips in the area that your county serves. TD They cannot be used to travel to and from the State Convention. Only to the bus and train stations. You can use them for travel to the airport as well. (ADA )If you are ADA Certified , you may use the Jacksonville Paratransit system, with a letter from your ADA Eligibility program to the Jacksonville system. You may travel at the same time as the Jacksonville system does. I believe the same eligibility will be available in New Orleans. ADA funds are for people living within a fixed bus route and are unable to use fixed route due to a disability as Judy stated. TD Trips are provided using local eligibility criteria. Visitor status does not hold for TD trips, only ADA. Medicaid has their own systems and guidelines. </div><div><br></div><div>Check with your local CTC about the types of TD trips available in your local communities. Each system is a little different, and depends upon State and local funding . ADA trips are provided by each county and their transit system. Not all counties have ADA Transportation, only those with a fixed route bus system. </div><div><br></div><div>Sincerely,</div><div><br></div><div>Marilyn Baldwin </div><div>President </div><div>Central Fl.
