This brief update will focus on two meetings scheduled for July, we’ll update more later on where we stand with sponsorship of bills by our elected officials from Florida.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>Our hard working colleague from the NFBF Central Florida Chapter, Karolyn Campbell, has managed to secure an appointment with the office of US Senator Rick Scott for Wednesday, July 13<sup>th</sup> at 2:00 PM. Thanks so much Karolyn! I encourage as many of you as possible to be present at this meeting as Legislators and their staff certainly take notice when we assemble to support each other in large numbers.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>This meeting will take place using the Microsoft Teams platform, (not Zoom), but as of this email, the office for Senator Scott has not sent me the Microsoft Teams link to share. The link for the call should be out in the next day or so. I’m providing this info to you all this morning so that you have a chance to put it on your calendars. If any other meetings can be worked out for Wednesday, I will absolutely let you know with as much advanced notice as possible.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>We are still seeking initial 2022 virtual appointments with the following Representatives: Castor, District 14; Buchanan, District 16; Jiminez, District 26 and Senator Marco Rubio. Don’t forget that we are seriously looking at holding a mini-Washington Seminar for 2022 in August. We’ll have more on that idea soon.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>Finally this morning, I want to let you all know that we will hold our regular monthly Legislative Committee meeting on Thursday, July 28<sup>th</sup> at 8:00 PM. At this meeting, we’ll update our numbers for support on the various bills we are tracking and provide information about any upcoming meetings.
