Someone could follow him at a discrete distance to observe interactions and people’s responses to him. At the end of the day they could meet up to compare notes and the observer could get more details about Jordan’s experience, including his emotional and psychological reactions to various situations which the observer could illuminate. It sounds like one heck of a research paper for a graduate student from UCF or another close college. Hey Jordan, if you’re going to follow through on this, and you’re willing to be observed, please let me contact the appropriate people and see if we can get this set up.

Scott Greenblatt

Talk/Text: 8134601606

Sgreenblatt76@gmail.com

From: NFBF-L <nfbf-l-bounces@nfbnet.org> On Behalf Of Paul Lewis via NFBF-L
Sent: Thursday, February 22, 2024 1:05 AM
To: NFB of Florida Internet Mailing List <nfbf-l@nfbnet.org>
Cc: Paul Lewis <lewpil1952@gmail.com>; flmom2006@gmail.com
Subject: Re: [NFBF-L] Crazy longshot idea, totally blind soloing Disney World magic kingdom

If this concept of a solo, blind traveler navigating, Disney is given the Greek light, why not take it one step further. I know most blind people go with their families, or sided guides. But I’m so bored in Ocala, and I have way too much time to kill. I can buy an annual pass, and dedicate a lot of time to orientation and mobility. I’ve gone on cruise ships, solo rather regularly, and I’ve enjoyed the experience. But I wonder if Disney’s Magic Kingdom would be too much of an undertaking? Just for some background, I’m 39, and was born blind. I am totally blind now. So I’ve never had vision to start with. I wonder if my total lack of sight would ruin the Disney experience. Not from the visual aspect per se, but just from not really being able to navigate and actually enjoy any attractions.
