I'm going to second the person who suggested altering the depth of your finger stick. The doctors office usually uses one time lancet devices that have a pretty deep stick. Another technique is to massage your finger from the base to the tip, pushing the
blood toward your finger tip before sticking. My personal opinion is that anyone with any time of diabetes should have a continuous glucose meter so they can learn and master how different foods affect their blood glucose levels. It's a matter of health literacy.
It makes so much more sense to have a CGM that alerts you no matter what kind of diabetes you have!</div>

<div>Greetings, </div>
<div> </div>
<div>I have Type 2 Diabetes. I am trying once again to use the Prodigy Voice glucometer and not being terribly successful. I usually do not get enough blood on the test strip to get a good reading. I would love to learn how to use one of these continuous
glucose monitors, but because I dont take insulin, insurance said no. I was in the hospital recently, (for something not related to my diabetes), but the nurses tested my blood sugar 4 times a day and never seemed to have a problem getting enough blood.
That leads me to believe that either Im doing something wrong or my meter is just not very good. I will thank you in advance for any assistance with this matter. Thank you all.
