The below research participant solicitation is being provided for informational purposes only. The National Federation of the Blind has no involvement in this research, but we believe that it may contribute to our research mission.

 

Name of Study: Through their Lens: Mentoring and Career Advancement for the Blind and Visually Impaired Community

 

My name is Tonika L. East, and I am a doctoral student in Leadership and Professional Practice at Trevecca Nazarene University. I am conducting an online study investigating mentoring and career advancement for individuals with blindness and and/or visual impairments (B/VI) and how mentoring relationships effect of employment outcomes. Adults who are 18 years or older, blind or visually impaired are eligible to participate and held at least one wage earning job. The study involves a 30 -minute survey asking about your demographics, mentoring and career advancement. 

All of your responses will be anonymous and confidential. There will be an additional opportunity at the end of the online student leave your email address to participate in a follow-up focus group or interview. The link below can also be shared.
