You are able to post to the list, so you are a member.

Since you have a gmail address, you won't see copies of your mail to 
the list, gmail suppresses them, figuring you know what they say 
because you sent them.

If you are not getting other mail, check any spam folders, and check 
with your internet service provider to make sure she/he isn't 
blocking the list or nfbnet.org
