Subject: [NFBF-L] You are invited! Washington Seminar Issue Review and Q&A - Tuesday, January 19th

Good afternoon everyone!

The excitement surrounding the 2021 Washington Seminar is growing daily as evidenced by the number of Florida Federationists reaching out with questions over the past several weeks. On Monday, January 13th a statewide Zoom call was held and lots of folks showed up to learn about the key initiatives and to learn how they could get involved. On Wednesday Fact Sheets for the 4 initiatives were sent out by email to you all, and hopefully you have had a chance to look them over.

Several more calls will take place before the long standing annual event kicks off on February 8th. One such call will take place this coming Tuesday, January 19th at 8:00 p.m. This Zoom call is being hosted by our National office’s Advocacy and Policy Team led by Executive Director John Pare. The information sharing session will cover the four legislative issues being presented this year. A similar call took place last week and in that call John encouraged the State Legislative Directors to invite members of their Affiliates to join in on the 19th.

I hope you are getting as excited about Washington Seminar as I am, and will take the time to join us this Tuesday evening. If you are interested in being part of one of the four Florida breakout teams and lending support to our efforts, please don’t hesitate to contact the team lead covering your US. Congressional district. The Florida team assignments are listed below.

Also shown below is the Zoom call in information for the upcoming call on Tuesday, January 19th @ 8:00 p.m.
