Subject: [NFBF-Leaders] Sunrise and Shine Thursday, October 28th. A better than ever session!

Hello Sunrise and Shine Fans!

As you may recall Sunrise and Shine meets the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month beginning at 9:00 AM. Now would be a good time for a reminder that our next meeting will happen on November 11th. I hope very much that you will be able to make as many of our gatherings as possible, starting with this Thursday’s Zoom call.

If you are asking, what’s happening this week and maybe at the next meeting too? At our last get-together, we left an agenda item on the table in exchange for our incredible discussion about the recent NFB of Florida State Convention. Nothing wrong with that of course, as the post-convention wrap up was truly important to a lot of folks. Just as important though is the discussion we were going to have about finding ways to make SRS even better than it already is. More NFB Newsline learning opportunities? Why not. More guest speakers? That’s certainly worth consideration More relaxed conversation and chances to learn about each other? You tell me! The “you tell me” part of that last statement is the critical part of our upcoming call. There has been a great deal of conversation going on lately about how to make both NFB Newsline of Florida and Sunrise and Shine better and better, but the improvement truly does hinge on knowing what you would like to experience and explore. Put on those thinking caps, (or maybe even hard hats), and come ready to weigh in.

Since I mentioned, “thinking caps”, let’s go in that direction for the only call we’ll be holding in November. On November 11th Sunrise and Shine Trivia makes its return to our Zoom stage. We had so much fun at Convention playing trivia on a Friday night, but we were missing so many of our regulars, along with missing the excitement of team competition. All of that will be back on Veterans Day. Please mark your calendar so you can join us. I’ll make sure the questions aren’t too hard, (but then again, they won’t be too easy either).

If you haven’t been to one of our calls before, joining us at 9:00 AM for coffee or tea will give you a chance to find out what you’ve been missing. We always take time for welcoming new guest speakers and participants and for lots of warmth and laughter.

Most of us have become pretty familiar with attending meetings using the Zoom platform over the past year and in fact, we’ve been using Zoom since we launched Rise and Shine last year. If you’re not used to using Zoom or if it’s still giving you difficulties, don’t give up just yet. You can access the meeting by clicking on he below listed web link, by using the one tap mobile feature or by dialing the phone number provided and entering the access code when prompted.

The regulars on our call are always warm and welcoming and are thrilled to see new faces.

Hope to have you with us Thursday morning, see below for the Zoom info. The first person caught snoozing on the call has to pop the corn in October, (so stay alert Bill).

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me before the call at our NFB Newsline of Florida toll-free support line. Check the bottom of this email for the Zoom call-in instructions.
