Subject: [NFBF-Leaders] NFB of Florida Legislative meetings happening -
January 19th at 8 PM - Your help is needed

Good evening Florida Federation friends and family,

Now that the holiday season has come and gone we look up and see big things
happening in 2022, some happening very soon. One big event eager to greet
us is the 2022 Washington Seminar. Taking place the week of February 7th.
You might be asking, "what work needs to get done before we sit down with
our Representatives in Congress, ()?", the answer is, we need to meet,
organize, review and practice our presentations.

We will hold an Affiliate wide meeting this coming Wednesday, January 19th
at 8:00 PM to review our four Legislative priorities in 2022 and to discuss
our strategies for meeting with our Representatives one month from now.
During our last Washington Seminar, Florida showed a tremendous amount of
excitement and involvement and I am sure we will do that again this year.
I've been contacted by several new folks within our Affiliate who want to
join us all in the vital work we will be conducting, it will be terrific
having them join hands with us and showing them how passionate Floridians
are about the legislative process. In our last call on January 10th we had
over 35 attendees and the excitement level was extremely high. For me, it
was a thrilling call.

To keep from having this email overly complicated with meeting dates, Zoom
links and attachments, we're going to allow it to focus primarily on the
meeting set for Wednesday, January 19th at 8:00 PM. Subsequent emails will
have additional information for you to review. I will tell you that our
National office will hold a mock meeting review session on January 24th,
(I'll send separate emails out to you regarding those meetings so you can
add them to your calendar).

I'll also again be sending out emails with the Fact Sheets for our
legislative initiatives. A big thanks to Sherri Brun for alerting all of us
last week that the Fact Sheets are also accessible on the Federations
website. Thanks so much Sherri, getting that link from you helped me easily
find the information about our priorities in several formats.

Please see below for the link to our meeting for Wednesday, January 19th at
8:00 PM. Hope very much that you will be able to join us. Feel free to call
me if you have any questions or if you can't make our meeting but still want
to be involved.

Respectfully,

Russ Davis, Legislative Director,
