***Hurricane Preparedness***

      The National Hurricane Center has issued a hurricane watch/warning for
several counties in central Fl. Our Bishop is very concerned about your
well- being which is why we need everyone to be aware of the precautions
each of you must take during a tropical storm or hurricane.

 

*      Shelter - Know the location of your local shelter.

*      Supplies - Purchase in advance: bottled water, ice, and
non-perishable items such as canned food, packaged food and personal
products.

*      Loss of Electricity- Be prepared with flashlights, battery operated
radio/television and backup batteries. **Elevator buildings, elevators may
be inoperable.

*      Cash -ATM's will not be working in case of a power outage. Make
arrangements for cash needs.

*      Gas - Keep your vehicle full of gas.

*      First Aid Kit/Medicines/Prescription Drugs - Check your supply.

*      Important Documents - in a weatherproof container - insurance,
medical records, bank account numbers, social security card, etc.

*      Windows - DO NOT tape or board the interior of your window.

*      Patio/Balcony- Remove loose items from patio/balcony.

*      Tools - Keep a set with you during a storm.
