Thank you. I actually wrote that email with Kay last night. Lol. I'm going to submit both you and Lisa as candidates. I have a feeling that since you've gotten the room for more than one year in a row, they might not select you for the room, but her. This way, someone from the chapter will have the room and can share it. I will be writing my recommendations sometime today.

Subject: [NFBF-Leaders] Affiliate Sponsored Hotel Rooms for 2024 State Convention

Greetings Presidents:

The National Federation of the Blind of Florida Board of Directors will be awarding up to seven (7) rooms for our upcoming State Convention in Jacksonville Florida. Each President is asked to submit the name or names of chapter members who you believe have demonstrated leadership ability within the chapter or division, and on the affiliate level. 

In an effort to grow future leaders within the affiliate, Presidents are strongly encouraged to select from their membership rather than submitting their own name for the room.

All names should be submitted to president at nfbflorida.org <mailto:president at nfbflorida.org>  no later than 12:00 PM on Thursday, August 29.

When submitting potential recipients,  please include their name, whether they will attend the convention for all days from October 11 to October 13, and what activities the individual has performed that demonstrates great leadership within your chapter/division. Please note, all awardees will be required to volunteer in a capacity that will be determined by the board during convention.

Again, all names must be submitted by August 29 at noon, no exceptions!
