Good morning, Sunrise and Shine family!

As I began writing to you this morning, I realized that the unexpected call tomorrow morning with Sunrise and Shine might be a first. We’ve had many exciting calls over the past 4 plus years but haven’t done a “Special Edition” call before. Your NFB of Florida Board of Directors thought that it would be a great idea to let ‘Rise and Shine with NFB-NEWSLINE® help get the word out about our upcoming54th annual Affiliate Convention in Jacksonville.

We’ve heard that folks do have questions that they like answered and want to make sure that they check all the boxes with items such as Convention and hotel registration forms. We will have a great team of knowledgeable folks on hand to make sure answers are forthcoming.

We’re also thrilled to have this special opportunity to build excitement about our fantastic Convention, taking place October 11th – 13th at the Marriott South Bank Hotel on the beautiful St. Johns river in Jacksonville.

The dress code for tomorrow mornings call is extremely casual, (some folks will show up in PJ’s I bet). A list of questions and a morning beverage is all you need to bring with you.

If you haven’t been to one of our calls before, joining us at 9:00 AM for coffee or tea will give you a chance to find out what you’ve been missing. We always take time for welcoming new guest speakers and participants and for lots of warmth and laughter.

Most of us have become pretty familiar with attending meetings using the Zoom platform over the past few years and in fact, we’ve been using Zoom since we launched Rise and Shine way back on April 16th2020. If you’re not used to using Zoom or if it’s still giving you difficulties, don’t give up just yet. The regulars on our call are always warm and welcoming and are thrilled to see new faces.
