NFBF, MSCC CHAPTER MINUTES FOR JUNE 8, 2024
MEETING Call to order AT 10:04 am on Saturday, JUNE 8, 2024.
Roll Call: Camille Tate, Pres.; Joyce Taylor, VP; Board Members: Maria
Rigogliosi, Morgan Haslett. Javier Molinares
Invocational Prayer: Joyce Taylor
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE, Ralph Munno
NFB Pledge: Camille Tate
Members reminded to learn Pledge because it is important because it sums up
who we are and our unity as an organization.
It is spoken at both Conventions.
Dues will be collected today, Marie Bochiceio paid her dues.
Secretary's Report: March Minutes were tabled due to problem with
recordings still; however, JUNE Minutes were e-mailed for review. Marie B.
made a Motion that we accept as e-mailed and Fran Munno 2nd, all were in
favor.
Treasurer's Report: Camille started with April 2024 opening balance for
checking $2,084.80. No Debits or credits. Closing balance, $2,084.80.
Opening balance for savings $1,545.16. No debits and 8 cents in interest.
Closing balance $1,545.24.
Opening balance for May 2024 for checking was $2,084.80. No debits or
credits. Closing balance$2,084.80. NOTE: There are additional credits not
reflected yet, dues,we are still in the month of June.
There will also be changes in July because of upcoming Nwational
Convention.
Opening balance for savings for May was $1,,545.24. No debits , 8 cents
ointerest. Closing balance $1,545.32.
Joyce Taylor made Motion to accept report and Morgan HASLETT 2ND. Majority
were in favor.
The Joe Naulty scholarship funds have cleared and will be
reflected in June's report. Sylvia YOUNG NOTIFIED ME THAT SHE RECEIVED
MONIES ON YESTERDAY.
I WILL BE PREPARING FOR ELECTIONS IN AUGUST. Positions ito be voted on are
PRESIDENT, SECRETARY AND BOARD MEMBER #1.
EXPECTATIONS OF THOSE INTE5RESTED IN POSITIONS AS WELL AS MEMBERS WILL BE
DISCUSSED IN JULY.
Barbara invited us to come to their shoe repair store if needed. THE
UNTOUCHABLES 401 N. Wickham.
Milano and his children were present, also Deb Martin and Arlene Naulty were
present.
NATIONAL AGENDA HAAS BEEN ISSUED.
ARLENE NAULTY THANKED THE CHAPTER OR THE DONATION TO THE JOE NAULTY
SCHLORSHIP. The DEAF/BLIND Division is working on it. It's a great honor
to receive donation.
I, Camille, was supposed to be selling fund raising tickets for Convention,
but I do not have with me; however, fund raiser had to be changed because
business closed down.
DESCRIBED THE PRIZE.
$20 per ticket, if interested, let me know prior to July 2. Drawing to be
held June 8th.
PHILOSOPHY LESSONN:
PRESIDENTIAL RELEASE WAS PLAYED FOR APPROX. 20 MINUTES.
DEBRA MARTIN, TALKING BOOKSS LIBRARY SPOKE ABOUT HER UPCOMING EVENTS.
