OOPS!  Thanks Arlene, I forgot to mention, at Cammille’s request, all reports were tabled for the April meeting.  I will revise the Minutes once everyone reviews.  I believe there will be a report on Sat.  I will forward to Camille regarding the Deaf/Blind donation.

They mean a lot, due to my mobility challenges

Joe would be very appreciative of your efforts.

Our National Office is required to file reports

    which find their way into the public domain. 

Is there a treasury report coming soon?

What is our treasury status?

Did the $200 donation to the Deaf-Blind scholarship 

   fund get processed?  Joe, the MSCC founder, is 

   now gone eight months.

NFBF, MSCC APRIL 13, 2024 MINUTES

 

The NFBF, MSCC Chapter meeting was called to order  at 10:00 am.  

 

Roll Call: Joyce Taylor, VP; Milano Hyacinth, Treasurer; Board Members:  Maria Rigogliosi, Morgan Haslett, Javier Molinares.

 

Attendance: 13.

 

Invocational Prayer:  Milano Hyacinth

 

Pledge of Allegiance:  Morgan Haslett

 

One Minute Message and NFBF Pledge:  Joyce Taylor

Subway sandwiches purchased by Morgan and Milano’s wife made turkey and ham sandwiches and baked cookies, Lisa contributed snacks and Joyce brought case of water and a cake for Denise.

 

GUEST SPEAKER (10:30 to 11.) - Alan Goluskin demonstrating, Seeing AI and be My Eyes Seeing AI.

Next, we bid FAREWELL to Denise Woodard (11 :15 to  11:30).  Javi3er transported her to dialysis a couple of blocks away.

 

Discussion regarding Technology – Phones, Script Talk was demonstrated by Joyce, and Meta-Ray-Ban shades with camera and music was described and passed around to each member by Milano.  Starting price $299.00 (FROM 11:30  TO 12:15)

 

MARIA discussed previous and upcoming events.  (Line Dancing , Talking Books Symposium and Children’s Hunger Project); creating a bus list to be submitted to SCAT.
