MSCC Chapter Newsletter

February, 2025

 

Meetings

Our next chapter meeting will be on Saturday, February 8 from 10 to 12 at
the Brevard Hispanic Center, 4670 Babcock St., ne, Palm Bay, FL. 32905.
REMEMBER, Seek the floor if you desire to speak, and wait to be acknowledged
to minimize noise.  Thank you!

 

If you're on the bus, remember that because Maria is out of town, You have
to call on Friday afternoon , the 7th, to get your pickup time for Saturday
morning. Call (321) 633-1878.

 

At this meeting we will learn all there is to know about the Senior
Equipment and Training Program which allows seniors with vision loss to
receive grants of equipment and training. A couple members have already
benefited from this program.

 

Also, Peggy Fleisher  will introduce herself to the Chapter as our Liaison.

 

Paratransit News!

 

The Chapter continues to work with Space Coast Area Transit to improve bus
service. Representatives from the chapter meet with them twice a year to
discuss concerns and make suggestions. 

One change effective immediately is that all passengers have to wear
seatbelts, no exceptions.

If requested, you can receive a 321 Transit Rider's Guide to familiarize
yourself with guidelines for Patrons - call 321.633.`1878.

 

UPCOMING EVENTS:

 

The Month of March is "MARCH MADNESS" - RECRUIT!!!

 

Do you want to learn about technology?

 

REJOYCE TODAY, our local Non-profit Organization, will be offering classes
in April and September. If you might be interested in these free classes,
call Joyce on the REJOYCE number, (321) 473-8719.

 

 

March Meeting
