Subject: Blind Christian Group NFBF Important 

Dear President Tate,

I am writing to you about our Communities of Faith, or Blind Christians
Group. I began this Committee approximately 10 years ago, with Mrs. Kathy
Davis
   under the direction of President Denise Valkema. We provide a needed
ministry to the members of our Affiliate and in other states of the
Federation using zoom. Last summer, we had an active role in assisting the
National Blind Christian Group with our daily devotions,  for the National
Convention. In the past, we have provided devotions and prayers during our
NFBF State Conventions. We thank Mrs. Peggy Fleischer for her leadership and
service to the Group in the past several years. 

With your permission and approval, Dr. Joyce Taylor and I would like to keep
this program going. We would like to Co Chair the group, hosting zoom
meetings bi monthly, and email devotions on a daily basis. Both of us will
be available to take prayer requests from members and friends, and to help
individuals that are looking for accessible materials in their individual
faith communities. Dr. Joyce will take the lead with those members needing
limited Christian counseling, because of her Theological Seminary degree and
training. 

In Summary, Dr. Joyce Taylor and I believe that the Blind Christians Group
is important, and we ask you to please allow us to Co Chair this important
group, that provides needed support to blind people who may or may not
attend worship on a regular basis. We look to this program to help us in our
faith walk on a daily lives, and in times of trouble, illness, or death.
Many of our members look to the Group and us, us for support and leadership
in a supportive Christian community. 

Thank you for your consideration of our request to keep The Blind Christians
Group,  as an active part of the National Federation of the Blind of
Florida. Dr. Taylor and I are both willing to work together,  and serve as
Co Chairman of this ministry.
