Hello Dr. Taylor,
We will have an officer present for the 10/18 event. I just need to know where/when you are staging prior to the start, please.

Thanks so much for the email correction 🙂
Yes, I believe Dr. Taylor is making an official request on behalf of the National Federation for the Blind. Her email is <mailto:dr.joycetaylor56 at gmail.com> dr.joycetaylor56 at gmail.com.
The TPO is not involved in the planning or organizing of this event so it may be best to coordinate with her.
I appreciate you all!!

Hello Leah,
We have not heard directly from Dr. Taylor regarding a request for a police vehicle to be present during this event. However, we are willing to have one present if this is an official request.
FYI. I believe you have the wrong email addresses for Andrew and me:

<mailto:andrew.pidgeon at palmbayfl.gov> andrew.pidgeon at palmbayfl.gov
Thank you,

As far as I know, we haven’t received the official request from the organizer.
I’m good with OT if anyone from your crew wants it. If not, patrol is fine.

I’ll reply to her with our correct email addresses. Since this is only for 1 hour on a Saturday, do you want me to just have Patrol cover it or do you want a Traffic Officer to be present on OT?

Good afternoon,
Dr. Joyce Taylor ( <mailto:dr.joycetaylor56 at gmail.com> dr.joycetaylor56 at gmail.com), President of the National Federation of the Blind, contacted the Space Coast TPO this morning with some event information in recognition of White Cane Month.
Therre will be an intersection crossing with members from the National Federation of the Blind at the crosswalk of Palm Bay Rd & Babcock St NE on Saturday, October 18th from 12-1PM. Dr. Taylor mentioned the need for a patrol car, and I am unsure if she has already contacted PD, so I figured I'd just forward the information as a FYI.
Let me know if you have any questions (The TPO will be attending the event but is not organizing the event).
Thanks,
Leah Nepo
