As an offshoot of the Let Us Play Us campaign, this committee will become the arm of the Performing Arts Division that cultivates connections in Hollywood and increases our organizations presence in the discussion of blindness in the entertainment industry. If you are interested in securing opportunity, equality, and full integration in all aspects of the entertainment industry, please consider how you can help us. Our immediate goals involve establishing partnerships in education to identify blind talent for prospective opportunities and creating informational resources highlighting the capabilities of blind performers for the benefit of entertainment industry professionals. If you are a performer, have connections in the entertainment industry, or happen to be a creative worker with interest and ideas related to blindness and entertainment, please email us at nfbpad@gmail.com. We would like to hear from you by Friday, November 1 so we can get started with this exciting work as soon as possible!

We look forward to raising expectations of blind performers and increasing representation on screen and stage together!

Sincerely,

Julie A.
