We are now gathering on the second and fourth Thursday's of each month beginning at 9:00 AM. This means of course that Rise and Shine will be happening Thursday, May 13th, (and for those planning ahead, again on May 27th). We had a slightly longer gap between after the last call and that caused a bit of confusion. My apologies to everyone for that happening. Over a year ago we had the pleasure of a guest speaker, Peggy Fleischer. She gave us all a tour of the wonderful kitchen appliance known as, “The instant pot”. I was so intrigued by this kitchen tool that I eventually went out and bought one for myself. Peggy was so happy with our Sunrise and Shine call that she returned the next week as an attendee. Fortunately, Peggy has returned again and again and has become one of our most faithful family members. I will tell you all without reservation that blind people can run a kitchen quite well without the assistance of smart devices and so, I think this would be a great topic to touch upon as well.
