[NFBF-Miami-Dade] No Monthly meeting this Month

Good evening Miami-Dade members and board of directors:

 

There will be no chapter meeting this month due to the rescheduling of the
State Convention.

 

I and the Affiliate Board are working out the kinks to have the State
Convention guests rebooked once again and we need time to coordinate these
tasks.

 

Please let's all pass on this information to those members who are not
enrolled in the Miami-Dade listserv and reach out to those members who are
not able to access Emails.  

 

For everyone's information, our 54th Annual State Convention of the National
Federation of the Blind of Florida has been rescheduled for the following
dates:

Friday, November 8th, 2024 through Sunday, November 10th, 2024

If you had registered for the convention before the postponement, and you
are going to attend the convention in November, please contact the Affiliate
Treasurer Sylvia Young via Email at treasurer at nfbflorida.org
<mailto:treasurer at nfbflorida.org>  or at her cell 850-322-5937 and let her
know that you will be attending the convention. .

 

If you did not registered for a room  or booked a room to attend the
convention  and would like to participate on the festivities of the 54th
Annual State Convention, the hotel registration and room booking link will
become available on the  <http://www.nfbflorida.org> www.nfbflorida.org
website for your convenience.

 

To book your room, you can contact the hotel at (904) 396-5100 and use the
code NFB.

If you need assistance in completing the convention registration form
online, you can contact any  affiliate board member and they will assist you
in filling out the form.

 

I will be sending out more details in the upcoming days on the progress for
our convention.
