Hello chapter members,

 

The signed hockey puck is a work in progress. But we’ll take it no matter when we get it!

 

Otherwise I’m contributing:

One one pound box of assorted toffee

>From the locally owned business Toffee To Go, which Oprah put on her 2013 Favorite Things list…a real coup for them! The varieties of toffee include white chocolate with macadamia nuts, dark chocolate with pecans, and milk chocolate with almonds.

The value is thirty dollars.

 

One double walled alligator can holder (koozie)

It’s not representing the University of Florida. It’s just a very detailed head of a gator with his mouth open, so that’s where the can goes. You can feel the eyes, teeth and all. I have one and he’s quite a conversation starter.

Value is twelve dollars.

 

I may be getting several items from the Columbia Restaurant’s gift shop, worth about twenty dollars. They include coffee, sangria mix and their Famous 1905 dressing, named that because that’s when the restaurant opened its doors in Ybor City.

Here is what Gloria and I are contributing.  Descriptions and value are based on Internet research:

 

2 bottles, 750 ml (25.4 ounces) each, Nguilleu Cabernet Sauvignon, red wine, 2016, imported from Chile. 2016 is said to be “a great year for Cabernet Sauvignon from Chile.” Value about $22.00

 

2 bottles, 750 ml (25.4 ounces) each, Cala de Poeti Maremma Toscana Rosso, red wine, 2015, imported from Italy. Described as “rich and intense.”  Value about $16.00

 

Four bottles, three liters, total value: approximately $38.00.
