Hello all,

 

First I want to thank in advance all who are coming to the Poetry and Praise concert at my church, Grace Lutheran. “Concert” may be a misnomer, as since this is our praise band, it’s pretty upbeat for the most part. 

There will be two especially beautiful instrumental duets, one with keyboard and electric guitar of Eric Clapton’s Tears in Heaven, the other is Ashokan Farewell, the theme from the Ken Burns Civil War series, which features the violin. 

If the office has an accessible version of the concert program, I’ll pass it along so you can get an idea of what it’s about.

I can send it to all, but if I know who’s coming, I can simply send the program out to you and not the whole list.

If you are planning to attend, it’s very important that you either call or send me a text so that I can give you specific instructions as to where the van driver should pull in. We certainly do not want anyone locked out! 

The program should last about an hour and a half.

There will be refreshments afterward, so of course it’s up to you whether you wish to stay for that. If you make your pick up time for about 9:15 you should be fine.

I realize you don’t have a lot of control over your arrival time, but 6:45 would be ideal.
