Sorry Barbara I realize I said a cuss word in there and I didn’t mean to be in there. The money that everybody’s getting no matter if he was getting Social Security or not everybody’s getting the stimulus package I’m not sure how to say it the correct way but I am everybody’s getting but like about 12,000 and it’s going either directly into your bank account if your Social Security is going direct deposit was coming to your house if you’re Social Security is coming to your house. And then you get money for each child you have I think that’s living in the household with you. So just want everybody to know that everybody Are you with no matter if you are on Social Security or not everybody get some money maker 12,000 each and then about 500 for each child but I believe the child must be living in the house like you taking care of your child. Just wanted to put it out there and share to everybody even is working and not working that’s getting a Social Security check. And also it might start giving them out on Monday to six Not this month so April 6 which I believe is Monday they either will start going into your bank account or coming to your house I was listening to the news last night. So I want everybody to know that too so if you don’t get it right away don’t be scared it’s going to be coming to you it just will take time but they will start sending them out April 6 which I believe is on Monday I heard from the news last night

>> Thank you for the information. I filed my taxes the end of February. With my tax guy I’ve been with for about almost 20 years. And I have a fat discount with him. And he also is helping me to have my stemless shit go direct deposit. Because he emailed me the beginning of last month but like the second week of March and asked me if I needed help getting my stainless check direct deposit And I told him yes. So he said OK and then an hour or two hours later he text me back and said he took care of it. So I got a great tax guy I’ve been with for almost 20 years and he knows my sister that’s two years older than me very well

>> You’re welcome. I know the NFB President is telling everybody they have to file in order to receive the stimulus money, but that’s not what representative Castor said in her conference call. What is true is that you will get the money quicker if you file a tax return and put your banking information on the return for a direct deposit. You can find online filing with TurboTax it’s free.

In case anyone is a SSI beneficiary and concerned about what the $1200 emergency money might mean to your benefits, you do not need to worry. Right now according to Rep. Castor, the IRS will use Social Security numbers to determine who will receive the stimulus money if you are not an individual who has filed a tax return for either 2018 or 2019. The bad news is that she did not give any indication how long it might be before the money is sent, Or if the money will be in the form of checks or pre-loaded debit cards. Representative Castor said that the bill was still being sorted out and not all the details have been finalized. The good news is that the bill that was signed by the president includes language that says the money will not be counted as income or as resources for a period of 12 months according to my former professor from Cornell.
