Debbie Malone has written what I think is a great template to help us all write to our legislators and other decision makers, to encourage them to once again provide funding to TD-Tampa Bay, a great program with was with us for too short a time. Revise the letter where indicated and in any other way that will make it your own. Our aim is to show how important this service is to improving the lives of the blind of our five counties.

As many of you know, TD Tampa Bay was discontinued due to lack of funding on July 1. We want to advocate for the return of this valuable service. 

One way to let the powers that be know of our plight is to write letters to anyone and everyone we can think of. I am attaching a list of ideas with links to the websites and emails to important people that may have a say in reinstating the funding. Not only should us consumers write, but our friends, family, social workers, doctors, anyone that is willing. 

The letter template I am attaching can be used as a basis for what to say. The parenthesis indicate places that you should change, add information, etc. Once your letter is written just change the name of the recipient to send to other people. 

Please feel free to send this out to anyone or anywhere that is appropriate.
