For  information, Hart route 19 stops right in front of the Light house also. We also  utilize the fix bus routes. We  should not be afraid to use the bus system.

I am forwarding this message for your information. I believe it is vital for as many of us to attend this meeting and/or write to the Governor’s office, as suggested. Paul, Isabella, and I will be there!

if you wrote a letter on our first attempt, I encourage you to send again to the below emails. Let’s cross our fingers that this funding goes through. In addition, I think it would be great if we all would wear our yellow polos to the Lighthouse meeting and if you do not have one of those, I encourage you to wear a yellow shirt, so we can stand out in the crowd, especially if the media is in attendance.

TD Tampa Bay Meeting

I am writing with new information about TD Tampa Bay, the ride service that was provided by TBARTA last year to TD Transportation eligible riders, but suspended in July when funding expired.

As noted in our message yesterday, the Florida Legislature has appropriated $1 million in the next state budget to resume services.  However, the Governor still needs to approve that item when he signs the budget into law.  It is critical in the coming days that supporters of TD Tampa Bay demonstrate their desire for service to resume.  To help illustrate this need, we are inviting everyone to attend an informational meeting on Wednesday, May 11, at 10 a.m., at the Tampa offices of the Lighthouse for the Blind and Low Vision. The address is 1106 West Platt Street, Tampa, 33606.  The media will be invited to this event.  A strong show of attendees from those who are able to attend will be very helpful in demonstrating to the Governor's office the importance of TD Tampa Bay.

We understand not everyone is able to attend this meeting in person, but you still can help our cause.  If you have not already done so, please email two members of the Governor's staff who will make this budget recommendation to Governor DeSantis.  Briefly let them know why you used the service and what it means to you, and send your email as soon as possible.
