Good Afternoon,

I hope you are doing well. My name is Matt Weihmuller and I am a saxophonist who works at the Straz Center for the Performing Arts in Tampa. I am visually impaired and am trying to promote some work I am doing in regards to braille literacy as a personal project for a venue called the Carrollwood Cultural Center. Therefore, I am hoping I can enlist some NFB members to help spread the word. I apologize for not being a current NFB Tampa Chapter member and hope this doesn’t cause any issues. Any assistance would greatly be appreciated. Pasted below is an email I have forwarded with a press release regarding a lecture I am doing on October 6th at 7:30 PM at the Center. Here is also a brief overview of the events as well. It is as follows:

The events will include:

 - The Art of [BRAILLE] lecture with myself, Matt Weihmuller, on October 6 at 7:30 p.m.

 - Blind Visionaries Light Painting workshop on October 8 at 3 p.m.

 - Blind Visionaries Concert on October 8 at 8 p.m.

 - Jazz with Jim featuring myself as the special gues musician on October 21 at 7:30 p.m.

In addition, there will be a touch-exhibit titled Beyond Sight in the Carrollwood Cultural Center Gallery at this time.

Right now, the Carrollwood Cultural center is excited to share that they are getting ready to host their second weekend of FIRST DATE a musical comedy. This theatrical performance is their first with audio description, and are planning to offer audio description for all of our theatrical performances moving forward.

Thanks a lot for any assistance in spreading the word. I really appreciate it.

    Matt Weihmuller
