Yes, that is truly sad news, I remember Lloyd always being very outgoing and so eager to help.

So sorry to hear the news about Lloyd. Please pass on my condolences to his family.. I regret that I have been unable to attend any of the chapter meetings over the last few years, but I greatly enjoyed meeting Lloyd and the few times that I have the opportunity to talk with him. Please also pass along my sympathy to those chapter members who were obviously much closer to him than I was.

Regards, Paul Lewis

Thank you Sherril for sharing! This is truly sad news. Lloyd was always there for our chapter right from our opening of the chapter. I asked that if you are free on Friday to please come and show your respects and support of one of our long time members. For those who know Lloyd it is easy for me to say that he is happy being back with his wife and is no longer suffering.

Lloyd, you may be gone, but you’ll never be forgotten. You truly made a difference in the chapter and in my life.

Your friend,

Hello to all,

I’m so sorry to have to tell you of the passing of our longtime member Lloyd Mathews.

Lloyd passed away on Sunday morning. His son has come down from New York. Lloyd’s funeral service will take place this Friday, February 17, at 11:00 at the Boza and Roel Funeral Home. The address is 4730 North Armenia Avenue. I don’t yet know whether there will be a lunch following the service. I will try to get more details at least by Thursday morning so those planning to attend will know when to make your return trip reservations.

Lloyd truly loved our chapter, and there was no greater ambassador for us.

Warmly,

Sherrill
