[NFBF-Tampa] Bowling 4/12 and other follow up items

Happy thankful Thursday Tampa Bay National Federation of the Blind,


I just wanted to follow up on some items from our meeting. I’ll try and
keep it as brief as possible.


First and foremost…FUN! Who will be attending our Full moon “Pins and Pizza
Social” next Saturday April 12th from 4-6p at Pinchasers in Tampa located
at 4847 N Armenia Ave, Tampa Florida 33603? Price is between $15-20 (price
depends on how many people attend) and includes an afternoon of fun, pin
crushing aka. bowling, and a slice of pie (pizza). Please bring cash the
day of, for ease of convenience. Come for as long as you can or plan to
stay and socialize. We always have a great time!


We officially have the room booked at Beef O’ Brady’s for our meeting the
3rd week of May Saturday the 17th, at our regularly scheduled time 12-2p.
Looking forward to seeing our continuing contributors and new faces. Bring
a friend or family member as a way to kick off our community integration
era. All are welcome!


We are initiating the inception of the “Tampa Bay Chapter Community Contact
List”. If you would like your name and phone number and email or any
variation shared with our active membership as a resource please email me
your contact information.


We are also putting together an order for National Federation of the Blind
Tampa chapter polo shirts. We will have an option for our Tampa Bay short
sleeve canary yellow polo, as well as other color and style options to
choose from. The yellow Tampa Bay chapter shirt is a great first choice
since this is what we wear while fundraising and doing community outreach,
as well as to National Federation of the Blind conferences and events.


We also had our marvelous new member Maury mention a beginning a book club.
If this is something you would like to participate in, let us know, as it
would be helpful in gauging active interest.


Lastly we are trying to get a date on the books for our Paint and Sip
sensory social. We could either do it as a stand alone event on Saturday
June 7th from 12p-3p or on Saturday June 28th as an extended after meeting
event. Chef Curt is happy to host us at Beef O’ Brady’s in the private room
which seems ideal because it will be nice and cool AND you can have table
side service! Friendly reminder that the National Convention kicks off July
8th- July13th in New Orleans.

I hope you are enjoying the beautiful weather we’ve been having, nothing
