[NFBF-Tampa] Extremely Urgent: Clarification of Upcoming Meeting dates, times, & Locations

I have signed up to speak. 

 

I noticed that the sign-up website says: "If you wish to provide printed
materials for the meeting, you must bring 15 copies to the Delegation
Chair's district office (Suite 210, 1101 Channelside Drive Tampa, FL
33602-3613) seven days before the event." Marion, are you or Debbie or
someone else planning to get at least 15 copies of the final and perfect
version of the resolution to the appropriate office by the Tuesday, October
14?

 

I hope to see a lot of us there.

Dear Tampa Bay Chapter Members & Supporters,

 

                In the haste to rally our members and supporters to take
action on the critical issue concerning the dissolution of HART, some
inaccurate information was shared; I apologize for the confusion. There are
a number of meetings that are essential each of us make every effort to
attend. Public transportation is not only essential for those of us who are
blind or otherwise disabled, it is also an essential public service. Debbie
has collected great statistics about the importance of HART, not only to
those of us who are disabled but to the public interest. She will distribute
talking points and action items and these may include some of the same
information shared here, along with more details.

 

                Here are the upcoming meetings we need you to attend.

 

Wednesday, October 15, 2025; 9:00 a.m.

Board of County Commission (BOCC)

601 E. Kennedy Blvd.

Second Floor Board Room

We will present our NFB of Florida resolution concerning HART. All speakers
must sign up no more than forty-eight hours prior to the meeting but at
least thirty minutes prior. Each speaker will have three minutes to speak.
Whether you speak or not, please plan to attend and wear your yellow shirt.

 

Thursday, October 16, 2025; 1:30 - 3:00 p.m. 

HART ADA Accessibility Committee Meeting

HART Operations Operations Center

1201 E. 7th Avenue

Third Floor Board Room 

We will read our resolution again and urge members to wear your yellow
shirts and speak up if you feel comfortable!

 

Tuesday, October 21, 2025; 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Pepin Hospitality Center

Tampa, Florida 33610

All these meetings are important; however, this is the most important of
all. The sponsor of the bill and all of our state legislators will be in
attendance at this meeting. The deadline to sign up to speak is Saturday,

HART Board of Directors Meeting

Another presentation of our resolution to the HART  Board of Directors.
Media always covers these meetings, so wear your yellow shirts and speak up
if you feel comfortable!
