[NFBF-Tampa] Meeting follow up and reminders

Good morning Tampa Bay,


Happy (almost) Fall! Wishful thinking for cooler days. I can’t believe we
are already in September. I just wanted to reach out to touch base on a
couple things.


First and foremost, I want to review the individuals who have confirmed
that they will be attending state  convention. Sherrill, Debbie, Yvonne,
Shanti, Miranda, Sherri, Dan, Matt, Tom, Luis and Ana, Christine and Josh.
(Merry & Marion?) I know we had a few others that were trying to sort
things out so if your name is not on this list, please reach out to me ASAP
at 813-493-7691. If you do not reach me please leave a message or follow up
via text. State affiliate extended the deadline to September 15 however,
Sylvia the treasurer requested that we take care of it by September 9th.  So
if you could please let me know if you will be attending by no later than
September 8th so we are able to complete registration as a chapter it would
be greatly appreciated!


Also nominations are open for state convention awards including best
chapter and rising star. The deadline is 9/12. If you have a few minutes to
write something up if someone comes to your mind…please do so! It makes all
the difference and is important for us to participate as members and show
our appreciation to those that are working hard for our community and the
National Federation of the Blind. Thank you in advance for taking the time
to complete. It goes a long way!



In other news, we will be having our chapter meeting this month via Zoom,
of which will be held on Saturday September 20th from 12-2p. I will send
out the Zoom link via email.


Also, there is a state convention meeting this Sunday 9/7 at 7 PM so if you
are available, I encourage you to attend!


I hope everyone is having a great start to the month and I look forward to
meeting virtually in a couple weeks. It will also be great to spend some
time together in person at State Convention!
